IMPACT
STUDY
Work with poverty-fighting organizations to study their effectiveness
An Impact Study measures the current poverty-fighting effectiveness of an organization across four dimensions: Benefit-Cost Ratio, Systems-Level Change, Use of Best Practices, and Measurement Infrastructure. For each dimension, the effectiveness is determined based on the strength of available evidence compared to Slingshot Memphis’ outcomes-driven methodology. Impact results provide an objective, consistent way to measure impact, track progress, and identify opportunities for greater impact.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR
GREATER IMPACT
Identify opportunities to enhance the outcomes of poverty-fighting organizations
Impact studies organically identify concrete opportunities to enhance poverty-fighting effectiveness. Five to eight potential opportunities to enhance poverty-fighting impact are identified during each impact study. Opportunities are prioritized based on the magnitude of impact, timing, feasibility, and strategic fit. These lists are not intended to be comprehensive but rather actionable opportunities identified through the lens of an impact study. Slingshot offers ongoing thought partnership to help organizations pursue the prioritized opportunities.
